Going up to the great beyond. An adaptation of a pattern I created a few years ago - the moth was a butterfly in my original design. I view this piece as a human spirit ascending up to the afterlife.

The piece is composed of a creamy, iridescent, off white full moon with a moth composed of amber purple and plum purple wings, and off white body. The tail adornment is a carved jasper flower and the body is detailed with black glass paints. Mostly opaque - see last photo for backlit view.

Item measures 7" tall x 7" wide. Dimensions do not include the length of the chain.

Made with colored sheet glass, copper foil, leaded solder, glass paints, jasper bead, and silver jack chain.
